Measurement choices.
For a visitor with no saved choice and a known U.S. location, Google measurement may load automatically. Outside the U.S., or when the region check cannot determine a country, it waits for acceptance. Microsoft Clarity always requires explicit acceptance.
What acceptance enables
- Google Tag Manager, used to deliver consent-gated Google Analytics measurement.
- Microsoft Clarity, which records masked session replays to understand aggregate navigation and interaction patterns.
Advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied.
The first-party region check returns only a country code and is not cached. Cloudflare Web Analytics may load as an aggregate performance baseline outside the analytics choice. A saved denial or browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal keeps Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft measurement off.
